FOOD & FIBRE ANNOUNCE THREE NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS

Food & Fibre Great South Coast Inc. today announced the appointment of three new Council Members.

The new appointees bring a diverse range of experience, representing a variety of sectors imperative to the growth of food & fibre in the Great South Coast.

Chair Georgina Gubbins welcomed Penshurst’s Jonathan Jenkin, who brings expertise in beef and sheep production as well as natural resource management; Martin Clark from Hamilton who has extensive experience in the forestry sector; and Dunkeld’s Jack Luxford who brings business and finance experience.

Ms Gubbins said the Food & Fibre Council was delighted with the number and calibre of applicants, making it a difficult task weighing up the experience brought by highly credentialed candidates with the skills mix on the Council.

“We look forward to working with Mr Jenkin, Mr Clark and Mr Luxford to increase the value and capacity of the local food & fibre industry, the largest driver of GDP in the region.” Ms Gubbins said.

“It is an exciting time for the Council as we develop a new strategy that builds on our strong track record of achievements.”
