Carlie Barry is an organic dairy farmer in Camperdown where she milks stud jerseys and gyr on over 1000 acres of farmland with her husband. Organic, sustainable and ethical farming are her passions, and she takes any chance she can to educate both consumers and other farmers about organic farming.
Carlie has a deep understanding of the many operating models for successful dairy businesses. When she was an Area Manager with Fonterra, she looked after 130 farms and provided HR support for the entire South West region of Victoria, drawing on her skills and degree in human resources (specialising in dairy). Carlie was the State President of the Victorian Young Farmers, a member of the Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory (now Saputo Australia) Supplier Advisory Forum, and is a graduate of the Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Program.
